I actually purchased a new STARLINK MINI DISH kit and have Monthly Service / Subscription for that as they call it.


In addition i Purchased USED Bits and Pieces of a Starlink Gen 2 Setup at a bargain -
There are Bits and Pieces all over the Internet - So the Manufacturers Warranty is Well worth it - for one reason and other reasons as you will soon find out -

So if you Don't have Money or if you don't have
Knowledge of ELECTRONICS and NETWORKING or Like to Tinker - Don't invest in One of These Because

Obviously They Do Break -
I Successfully Pieced the Pieces that i purchased together and have a working installed
setup which replaces the DIRECTV DISH which i previously had mounted.
A service / subscription is Pending but in the meantime it is a functional seup and has already self

aligned itself on a pole and updated it's software via Satellite via the Starlink App which runs only on your
Mobile / Cellular phone or tablet for now. No Computer software is available at this time.


I don't remember which Model i ended up piecing together other than GEN 2 but it sits on a pole and
Self Positions itself and i have the Other Model info somewhere but it does work regardless
Thought i had a Boat Anchor for a while there
Anyway, I mounted the Starlink Gen 2 Dish with parts purchased and had to improvise and make part of the
proprietary POE cable setup myself since the Starlink POE is Slightly different from the Standard
POE you purchase for cheap from the store. So no, the POE items you have won't work unless
they came from Starlink or you found something 3rd party that states STARLINK Compatibility but NO
Complete Compatible kit

exist so you still have to improvise and purchase parts and piece something together if you have some

knowledge of ELECTRONICS and NETWORKING otherwise this is not to be attempted unless you purchase all the
standard or proprietary parts necessary to get the setup up and running to cut short the
amount of improvisation you have to perform - this still won't be Plug and Go or Plug and Play in any
form - only less improvisation or work.


Another question I know everyone has - No it won't plug right into your Router or Home Network without
Some improvisation as Well and Remember this Setup is Part POE Ethernet and Part Standard Ethernet -
so CAUTION - Last Note - One day part of the setup will or may fail
and you probably won't be able to or want to replace it - the Proprietary Starlink Router if you were lucky
enough to find a working unit but you can improvise if you have ELECRONICS and NETWORKING background

otherwise the whole setup could end up being something for the Garbage Person to pickup even if you can afford the

Starlink Pricing on Parts and Accessories because this requires Starlink POE to function -

- Other parts of POE Setup may fail as well - the cabling setup in this case so you also have to be able
to improvise - Again background in ELECTRONICS and NETWORKING -
So to Pursue This or Not to Pursue You Have Been Warned but I Wasn't WARNED but i Still Got a Working Setup but my Improvising is Not Yet
Complete But I'm Almost There Especially for this Type of Toy -
Already did a bit of troubleshooting for a Non-Working setup so I'm still ahead - and deep took a Sigh of Relief -
